BC was absolutely one of the most influential women in my life, as a teacher, friend and voice of wisdom in my college years. She gave me the confidence to speak up and shine, a gift that has followed me far beyond HS. She followed me throughout my college years, attended my wedding, and even gave me a pep talk bedside visit before the delivery of my first child. She emulated the type of influence I hoped to be, and I carry her candor and wit with me in spirit, as I attempt to touch lives in my own school career.
